COMENIUS
COMMON GOODS AND PEACE –27.03.2011- 01.04.2011
Niels : It was the First year that I joined the Comenius program. I was very excited to go on a trip with only 8 people from Belgium & a bunch of new pupils from other countries. I didn’t know what I could expect from it. But I really liked the fact that we were meeting other pupils. I heard of the Belgian pupils that the trips to other countries were well organized. In my opinion, there was too much free timein Hungary. The pupils organized more than the teacher did. We did one museum and after that the pupils had to make a program for 3 hours. My host was very good. He never left me , he always listened to what I wanted to do and never made a problem of it. I really liked the whole trip but for the next years, I would suggest them to leave less free time.
I would have liked the trip more if we would’ve seen more places or had some guides to explain everything.

Sofie: This was the second time I went to another country with Comenius. Last year I visited Italy, Ercolano. I liked the thought of going to Hungary very much because it is a country that I didn't really know yet. I didn’t know anything about the culture or the people who live there. When I arrived, my hosts welcomed me very friendly. The only thing that was very different was the time that they eat. Normally I eat at 5 o’clock they eat at 10 o’clock. I think we could have seen a lot more if everything wasn’t so chaotic. I think because it was the first time they organized it, they had underestimate it. Not only the teachers but also the pupils. Because we had a lot of free time, they had to do things with us for a long time. I have also had guests and I already know that they want to be together and that it isn’t easy. Our hosts had tried to do something with the Belgian people together. That wasn’t easy because they didn’t really know the other hosts. I had like it more if I had seen more in Budapest with the whole group so we could learn something of the beautiful city. Although I had a very nice trip to Hungary and I’m glad that I could be there.
