European Week in Dresden

In October 2010, the ministers and senators of the European member states decided to arrange a European Week.

The event intends to provide information about the history of European integration, current European developments as well as the challenges the European Union will be facing in the future.

On 16 March the Saxon Minister President Mr Stanislaw Tillich attended our European Day at Berufliches Schulzentrum für Wirtschaft “Prof. Dr. Zeigner”.

The students Doreen Heinzl and Lars Tuncsik and the teacher Ferenc Naacke gave a presentation about the beginning of our schools’ participation in European projects, about our current project activities and future plans and prospective.

Mr Tillich spoke from his own experience when he pointed out how important mobility and the knowledge of foreign languages are and which opportunities can arise from that. In the discussion afterwards the participants were especially discussing the issue how the European Union is tackling current problems and how the EU will develop in the future.

A few participants were surprised which opportunities and chances arise from the international activities of our school and would like to take more advantage of them.
